Nah. That cant be true. When I first came in Jan there seemed like was less than 20k if I recall correctly, might have been less. Been actually wanting to see more recent stats of total users, vs daily and weekly users etc. But can't remember where I came across that info.

In my humble opinion, Nostr isn't just about stats. It's about the relationship we build with each other. I've met a lot of incredible in real life thanks to nostr. It's just a protocol. If you have an idea, you can build it with no ones permission. The beauty of nostr and bitcoin is self custody. I don't need to trust a 3rd party. You can run my own bitcoin node and my own nostr relay. I can control my money, I control my speech, I control my future which here in communist Canada is desperately needed. 🙁
Also, I suggest you look into setting a nip-05 address :). It's a readable address so people can find you easier instead of handing out your npub. There's websites you can get free one or paid one. If you have your own website, you can set up your site to verify your nostr account 😀

I do have my website but it was never fully finished and I was abandoned by my web guy. Been thinking of just redoing it on my own on squarespace. Maybe then I can do what you are saying. But that may take a while.
Thursday I was at a halving party in Toronto and the party was featured on a podcast 😆. So idk if it's that podcast 😆.
Easy way to make a website for next to nothing. Download a program called nicepage, use that to design your site. Use github to upload and host the code for free. 😅 Alternatively you could hire someone on nostr. Lot of code monkeys on here 😀
