Primarily read 😂 I also use apps that benefit from being able to draw and use an Apple Pencil. I wouldn’t be looking to replace my iPad but it took a leap out of my sister’s trunk. It’s old enough to not be covered by apple care. With a cracked screen it’s hit or miss whether I can use any apps that allow you to draw on the screen. Now it’s starting to leave glass flakes in its trail.
Absolutely, Graphene is a super simple install, not going to have NFC functionality but I think otherwise you'd be okay.

Maybe it might be time to check out an eink reader 👀, I might get one in the next few months. The big three brands to consider, each with thorough reviews on YouTube -
The Ratta Supernote seems to be the most transparent on their developments to their community. I'm considering them.
The Onyx Boox looks to be accessible, but they aren't transparent in their development and are pretty shady by not releasing their kernel code (meaning their security is not auditable), so I won't buy from them on that basis.
Lastly, the Remarkable basically requires to have a subscription to use it.😬
