2. Unsolicited commercial advertising over lightning

It seems inevitable that lightning addresses will be scraped and compiled and used to send unsolicited messages (with a payment attached).

What are your thoughts about this? How should it be managed? What are the benefits/downsides?

We shouldn't stand in the way of commercial applications; particularly if it is optional to see the advert.

"Receive 100 sats to see this ad" is an ok message I think particularly if you have time to kill, you ought to get paid for your time.
