I gave a try to #umbrel this weekend after decommissioning my older Bitcoin node together with almost full hard drive.

Kudos to the umbrel developers! It looks and functions awesome! 💜🧡

Here is how my sovereign stack looks like (from the comfort of my phone):

My node is #umbrel too and I am very happy with the performance and functionalities.

I found you on global. Following now, nice to meet you 😀🤝

Followed back 🫂 nice to meet you too!

Dived deeper a little to umbrel, pleasantly surprised to see quite familiar stack: docker compose. It made it easier when I was trying to reuse the block data from my older node and erred out on using symlink.

Then comes the electric outage, ended up getting a UPS to keep this stack alive. ⚡

I installed it on a raspberry pi and the consumption (together with the UPS) is very low. For me is the best solution 😀

Block synchronisation was quite cpu intensive; maxed out two cpu cores. I allocated an Ubuntu VM for this using Proxmox.

Exploring further Lnbits etc.

Also looking into zapping using APIs.

Things are moving fast in lightning ecosystem. Better to catch up on sooner than later.

Yes, moving fast will be the appropriate definition. 😂😂

I am with several projects and I cannot cope with so many changes, PIN's, ideas, etc. 😀😀 living interesting moments in our history.

Great to see more people running relays!

Have you managed to get you relay working from anywhere else than Damus or Amethyst? I don't see how it could work from a browser given it's ws, not wss, and ws can't connect through https.

Browsers will not allow us as it is not secure. It was a mixed content warning in the past but it should be totally blocked now.

That said, you may host it remotely and get a cert for that perhaps.
