I am sorry ๐ to hear that Maria! When that happened to us, we went to the lowest level of house which helped.
Happy to report that the a/c crisis is over!! It so happens that the company I called has a tech that lives not far from us. And he actually came out, even though it was after 8pm! Turns out it was a bad capacitor, which he fixed quickly. We were so thankful that he showed up today, I gave him a tip๐.
If youโre replacing your system I highly recommend mini-splits.
You can control the temperature in each individual room that has an indoor head.
Much more energy efficient than traditional systems as well
Its back up! You can see my response in the first reply I got earlier. Anyway, I am curious about the mini splits when we do have to replace the whole thing. Do people install them for a whole house?
Glad you got it resolved!
Yes we have 2 outdoor units that power 3 zones in each half of the house (so 6 zones total). You can buy any size depending on your square footage.
Minisplitwareshouse.com is where I bought mine. Installed them all myself and had a guy come vacuum the lines (and check my work) at the very end for a few hundred bucks.
Thanks for the info, I'll look into that.
I feel ya. Lost our power last September after a hurricane for a week. was Shitty City!
๐ Iโm sorry
