Years ago we Bitcoiners were excluded from mining because running an ASIC at home sucks because of the power consumption and noise.
Now domestic mining makes sense again, it is a way to support the network and on top of that you have a chance to win a prize.
Now every good bitcoiner should have his own node and run a single low-power miner.
