I finally figured out why my laptop seems to randomly go to sleep every now and then. Sometimes it would take a nap every couple seconds, sometimes it would work perfectly well for weeks. I looked into everything. Updated everything, including kernel, grub and bios. I watched the temp very closely. I'd browse forums and try random advice from stack overflow and even reddit. Nothing worked and i was getting kind of desperate, sonce I need that machine for my work and I need it to run reliably.

Now, out of nowhere, I randomly remembered, that the bracelet I am wearing has a couple weak magnets on the inside for whatever reason. The magnets are not strong enough to be useful in any meaningful ways. but are strong enough to trigger the lid closing sensor...

I wanna pumch my face so hard, that my brain kills an innocent bystander on it's way out of my head.
