In a recent trial conducted by the NHS in collaboration with Mia, an AI tool developed by British firm Kheiron Medical Technologies and powered by Microsoft's Azure cloud, the tool demonstrated its ability to identify tiny signs of breast cancer that were missed by human doctors . The trial involved analyzing the mammograms of over 10,000 women, and Mia successfully flagged all women with symptoms of cancer. In addition, it identified 11 cases that doctors had missed, including very small tumors that were too tiny for radiologists to notice.
