What might be causing Damus to get very slow, non-responsive and even becoming the only app that can make my phone hot?
Is it the something to do with the relays, or what?

Try reducing your relays in half. What phone do you have? Do you have lots of word mute items? Would have to profile your account to see if something weird is up
