It’s debt that they owe to bond holders not to themselves. Luckily the unit of account that the debt is in is fully controlled by the US govt. so while yes they can essentially print away any debt, that doesn’t make them owe themselves.
Yes of course. Its just what some people seem to believe. Imo there is no coming back from this without a currency reform. Luckily a CBDC is just that.
