I play Nostr a little bit like I used to play Twitter. I follow a good amount of people, but I try to keep my main attention on a few that I plan to stay loyal to, meaning that I would even consider following them across to new platforms.
This also means that I like a lot and do boost whenever I feel like someone needs help, wants to reach a goal or sometimes just as a personal bookmark because it's interesting - with the side effect that others might like to see it, for no particular reason.
Whilst Nostr is not about gaming an algorythmn like Twitter, I do like to keep my "old ways" for one reason or another. This is why I like a lot, boost a few, and zap specifically. :)

I don't zap because I think it's messed up.
