I don't think I understand the concept of retiring in the same way as other people. When a new neighbor told me they were retired, I asked what they did and they looked at me like I had three heads and said something to the effect of "we're being retired".

I feel like when you are retired, you finally have time to focus on what you wanted to do. Not what people pay you to do, but things that you find enjoyable whether or not it has any economic value to society.

Maybe you go on walks and enjoy nature. Perhaps you photograph the flora and fauna and post them online for free, just so people can see what they're missing

I mean, you have to do something, right?

That's my conception of retirement - it's control of your time. It's being able to be deliberate with what you value.

It's not a long weekend, it's the rest of your life that you get to live and be present for.

I’m pretty much retired at this point & I struggle to find the motivation to do stuff Lmfao but when I was working full time I was able to find that motivation easily.

Actually thinking I might get a easy part time job to see if that helps?

I’m not over 40 yet Lmfao
