If the "total supply of gold" was going up that whole time then the total supply of Bitcoin was going up faster for most of that time. Only recently did we halven down to a lower BTC inflation rate than estimates for gold

Platinum prices include more cost-of-energy than gold prices, so a little more bitcoin-y.

Aluminium price is about 75% cost-of-energy, but there's no (cultural) monetary premium. Sad.
