Post-Covid effects/“long Covid” certainly fucked up a few people I know... starting around then. I’m sure some of them are now included in this statistic.
I know some will want to blame the vaccines, but those weren’t out until end of 2020 and mostly in mid-2021.
I'd take a second look at the chart and cross-reference it with the vaccine rollout timeline.
