Any thoughts on how AI will impact your specialty?
Pretty crazy how much AI is affecting the speed of scan already.
Hopefully will make it much much faster for me to do the work. And eventually should replace much of what I do. I hope.
FYI: every doctor should be in the business of putting themselves out of business, either by eradicating disease or increased efficiency.
Agreed. I figure much the same in primary care. My guess is it will 5X PCP productivity. Which will make the primary care “shortage” a thing of the past.
It will play out like this: you can see a teleprovider 24/7/365 with Zero copay OR you can schedule an appointment 2 weeks from now and wait in the waiting room. The insurance will say 50% less and doctors will make 2-3X d/t productivity gains. Patients won’t be forced but the majority will prefer it and the rest will die out in time. Exciting times.
