A manager once told me, “If you’re not having fun doing Lean, you’re either doing it wrong, or it’s not for you!”

At first, I thought that was a bit simplistic. But over time, I realized the profound truth in those words. Lean, at its core, is not just about solving problems; it is about fostering a culture of continuous improvement, which each of us must internalize. That culture thrives on positivity and engagement.

We need to be proactive when someone says we need to change the rules of the game.

And if no one else does it, we have to do it ourselves, and quite frequently.

It’s about first turning on your brain, rolling up your sleeves, and finally celebrating the small victories, encouraging team participation, and reminding ourselves why these changes are important.

Taking a break from everyday life and operations is a wonderful opportunity, which we must seize with positivity
