I am a bit old school and run Debian but virtualize most things. Also like Qubes OS but similar setup with VMs and containers for each project or topic.

I have debian set up on computer to run my Bitcoin node. And I'm using pop os on a laptop.

I have not tried pop will have take a look. Usually test out distros in VMs but mainly stick with something with Cinnamon or i3 desktop. Also build custom Kali images to run for pentesting. Main thing is I cram as much RAM into the desktop I use to have enough for many VMs at same time.
