What is a fair price in sats to pay for someone to make me a bot lol?

Sounds reasonable. That"s less than my weeekly grocery budget for a family of four.
Is it really that much work to make a bot that it's equivalent to a weekly grocery budget for a family of 4?? If that's so, forget it lol no way I'm paying that. I'm barely employed lolol

The product is.
Learning to code takes a lot of work, but that work required to learn something is not valued by other people. People value the product, not the work.
So it's not that much work. Just learn to code for 5 years. Then you can build the bot in like an hour.
I'll just do without at that price lol

I'll just live without it lol. But I think stuff like this makes nostr a better place culturally but I definitely don't care enough to pay that much for it lolol. I have no skin in the nostr game and I barely have a job. Would be mad of me to pay lolol

writing bots isn't that hard to learn either, if you have some reasonable experience. but you won't be able to do much complicated before a few months of tinkering. it really depends on how accessible the protocol the bot has to speak is, and how well you know that protocol's support in your chosen language.
the hard part is not the chatter but what it computes for you. databases and statistical analytics are not so easy to grasp at first.
I have no experience lol. It's fine, I just thought it would be cool..but the price doesn't match how much I care and how much money I can throw at something just for fun lol:)

my pay grade is what your estimate says, and i build servers, it's about lower-middling in that range, can be up to nearly twice that in some places, or for specific, uncommon types of work
