Truth telling is important but it requires tact, something I lacked when I was younger.

The truth is often so powerful and destabilizing that the manner in which you deliver it is of equal importance to the truth delivered.

Basically you’re performing an inception on someone. You have to make people think they came to the truth on their own.

If you come on too strong they will reject it outright.

Somewhere i read this quote "People want to be cheated, if you don't they become pretty evil"

Maybe it's too strong as a statement but definitely not too that far from reality.

At least in finance and politics, it's the rule number 1 unfortunately. I see it every fucking day.
