Yes, it is avoidable in their opinion because we aren’t supposed to exit the vehicle if there is the possibility of a dog bite… there is actually a lot of stuff that people question why we do it certain ways and it is because were trained to avoid crashes and incidents… two incidents in a 6 month period gets us suspended, 3 gets us terminated

I can see the business side of that across a massive industry where they need to put broad protocols in place to control risk but it sucks there’s not some kind of review process: if you implemented reasonably precautious measures as trained but some dog somehow appears it seems unfair it’s always held against you

lol yeah… about the only unavoidable crash is hitting a dog in a road way… only because if the dog enters a public roadway, the owner is liable… any other animal is avoidable because we are supposed to be scanning tree line to tree line for hazards
