True decentralization seems to be Nostr's strong point and most attractive trait. Any chance Nostr could pull in and sustain a wider-range of viewpoints to its user base and break free from its more narrow reputation? Or would it rather not?

I think most people on nostr want a bigger user base and more topics. It's just that the public key cryptography and decentralized relays are easy for bitcoin people to 'get' but for others have a hard time understanding how nostr is different than other apps/protocols

hmm

well there are all kinds of different communities and incentives to be a member of different communities...

online or irl

but generally

the deciding factor of why people end up in a particular community is because

*they want to be with the other people who are there.*

its entirely possible the great majority of people are busy with their own lives and the groups they are a part of

and aren't super interested in breaking free of their narrow perspectives.

maybe I'm wrong

just a thought.
