This has been my life. I’m 50. Neither of my grandmothers had to work. Not only did a single income provide a similar quality of life that requires two incomes today, but they were able to save enough for retirement. Even leaving a small inheritance. One worked as an electrician the other on a road building crew.

My parents both worked, a factory worker and registered nurse. Mom took a few years off to have kids and went back to work when the youngest started school. They saved and invested. There will be no inheritance when they pass.

My wife and I are both successful business owners. Both of us are booked out quite some time into the future. I have a few employees and we have a few rental properties. The only inheritance they will get are the sats I stack.
