People can hate on Monero, I think the privacy aspect is clearly advantageous, and to be honest, I'm not thrilled with the direction Bitcoin has taken in terms of the mindset of the average NGU maxi.

Holy shit hahahaha, I didn't know what to expect but that delivers

I didn’t read the whole Satoshi thread but it seems we do have the ability to create multiple addresses and as far as I know nobody can directly associate that address to your master private key. Of course, chain analysis companies can indirectly associate addresses together through spending heuristics.

Monero has blinded amounts which obviously adds a lot of privacy with a trade off of less trust in the core monetary policy.

I personally like having a transparent L1 with privacy through L2s. Feels like the correct balance of privacy and transparency.

I talked with a couple of them on the BTC Prague, most dont even realize that storing your wealth on a public, transparent ledger is a stupid idea.

If you ask them if they would use a public transparent ledger when the government mandates it, they say "hell no"

Many haven't thought a lot of these things through. Possibly suggests they aren't holding much. The only sizeable BTC I hold is KYC free and it will probably become a network donation down the line.

I hope for a private fork one day, that would be a epic move.

Let people onboard to the transparent thing the state can not really ban and then fork and gift a private version to everybody who holds its own keys for free.

And while i dream this dream, i BTC cost average into Monero every day.
