Probably the latter. Lately, the EU has been swinging it's weight around - sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. But either way, things certainly happened. So I am convinced Meta just doesn't want to deal with the myriad of fines and other things slapped against them if they released this privacy nightmare in the EU - so, I guess they'll find another way to get it in. And it won't take long either. x) They need new users, and there are enough european braincells out there that'd happily take the plunge XD
