You can't generate your own gas at home but you can generate your own electricity.
That's why I think EVs are superior to ice vehicles.
Solar panels plus ev makes ones home much more independent from the grid.
Stream engines, FTW. Repairable, fuel agnostic, no rare earth metals, and dead simple (in comparison)

Steam? For trains those are great. Just digging, cleaning, and transporting coal is a lot of work. Works with wood in a pinch though so that's cool
Yep. My point with fuel agnosticism. Doesn't matter from where the heat comes, just as long as it can boil the tank.
