Bedtime at 8, loser.

"Most people are more creative in the afternoon or at night, not early in the morning. For me, the magic happens after 8 or 9 PM—that’s when I come up with new tricks, videos, and ideas. Yet, many teens feel like they're failing because they're not at their best at 8 AM." – Riccardo Leppe from Wissen Schafft Freiheit for Wild Life Unschooling Podcast

Unschooling recognizes that everyone has their own rhythm and peak times for creativity. It's time to ditch the 9-to-5 mentality and embrace individuality.

Yes! But. My 5yo is a very sensitive and melancholic child since the day he was born. He's doing ok, but needs his mama and cries daily over "I remember when we were babies and you love us" stuff. And needs to hold me tight. And this kid sleeps since first days soonest at 22:22. I believe it's exhausting to him as well.😕 I don't like pushing him into bed, but we're getting up at 7 and he goes last two years without naps and sleep best 23-9AM. I'm on the verge of smothering him in bed at 8PM just because I really don't like this small kid go daily with just 8 hours of sleep. :/

wow that is tough, but really interesting - for us there was a radical change in "sleeping time" since my kid was like 10, he just found his very own rhythm that is the complete opposite of mine, but through this I learned to stay up late and enjoy the night. but holy, 8 hours of sleep, that is really not a lot!

He seems to be doing ok, also loves scary and weird things, so I guess being somewhat anxious will be his thing and it keeps him up by default. Anyway we're cutting down screentimes and will try to lull this kid with boring calming activities. Other than that, I'd just say he's an owl and will be. We used to try go by him and he can easily go until after midnight🫠

His brother is amazing tho. Wakes up at 7 by himself, gets a big breakfast, goes to kindergarten, plays hard and eats it all, in the afternoon falls over and sleeps, in the evening he says "I'm going to bed," falls over and sleeps.👀😄

wtf, incredible, but the most beautiful part is that you let them be whoever they are 🩷

I am most creative early in the morning and I am slowly dying as the evening arrives 🤷‍♂️

that's somehow really cool!!

Interesting. I'm slowly dying at both of those times.👀🤣🤣

For me is the same and also for my wife... with the exception that she activates at 22:00, I just keep dying 🤣🤣
