Ok I have to admit, I’m a noob. I put umbrel on a raspberry, downloaded Bitcoin core and lightning node, now I’m trying to connect wallets, so I also downloaded electrs to setup a electrum wallet on my computer and according to Umbrel how to, I need to be running tor on my computer to run electrum wallet and connect it to the node… but tor is not verifying on my computer… Oye…. I think my wife is going to beat me to death with it all for spending two weekends playing with these… maybe I’ll take a break till after the holidays… wish me luck lol #noobproblems #plebchain #grownostr #btc

I have struggled to get any wallets connected to my Umbrel. That seems the Start9 pi have both gone to the back burner for now.

I finally gave up on umbrel. To clunky and the attaching of the wallets I was using at the time was so complicated and time consuming. Working a 50-55 hour week every week and trying to absorb the technical knowledge for these projects and not losing sats into the void is almost a non starter. Next time I get a spare day (sometime around 2026) I’m just going to flash my 2TB mini pc with StartOS and try that.

I’m in a similar boat. Running Start9 OS on a diy build. I have a btc node running as well as other core lighting stuff installed but haven’t gotten much further. I’d like to setup as well as understand connecting wallets and eventually setting up something like btc pay server and something similar for lightning to accept payments. If you come across any good resources please let me know.
