I'm planning to do a lightning talk (1-5 min) introducing nostr at my job.

looking for tips and input on how i should present what it is and why it's built the way it is.

also a couple of examples on what it can be used for

As a nostr user and self-host pleroma user, what the pros of nostr I like is that, nostr doesn't need a account attached to a domain and nostr has many relays that it is not easy to be blocked by China GFW.

good points.

the relay system and pub/priv-key setup is great. and just the simplicity of the protocol

why are you introducing nostr? what's the goal for it at your job?

it's a consulting firm with thousands of employees, mostly technical people, and i will do a short presentation at a weeklong seminar

i mainly just want to share/introduce some novel and interesting technology, and maybe turn some heads towards this way of thinking about systems.

sounds good, would be cool if you could share the presentation afterwards, might help introduce nostr to other people

i'll see what i can do.

it will probably be in norwegian, but i'll see if i can add some subtitles to it :)

Do you really have a dishwasher hooked up to NoStr?

it's got a smart switch that provides power, voltage, current in real-time connected to Home Assistant, I then have a Node-Red flow that watches the power and detects whether it is in use.

the washer/dryer here are smart appliances, I could probably hook them up to Nostr too

wow. nice! are there any limits to what nostr could be used for?! 😅

dude, you run your dishwasher so often, you either have a bunch of kids or a really small set of cutlery and glasses

I've set up mirroring between relays:

this one without the expletives:

You left off the fucking events!

on the second post I did remove it :)

Ah, there they are. The best kind of events are back.
