The angel fish pushed gently up against the glass of its home. Its reflection solemnly stared back in the dim lightimg.

Why am I here?

It questioned the silence, the rhythmic swooshing of the tank pump the only answer that was returned.

Across the room from the tank, on a wall opposite, above a row if chairs, a slightly faded and peeling sign read...

Without knowing the angel fish brought a sense of peace to those who watched it from those chairs, before they moved on, cogs in a larger machine....
