Welcome to #nostr! Get a lightning address setup on your profile so I can zap you and you can zap others ,, I use get Alby as a browser extension so it signs me in automatically to all the apps that are on Nostr , that uses your feed.. this link is a great tool to keep the apps organized and learn about them, I’m not a bitcoiner but I’ve learned a lot about it , Nostr is for everyone regardless , it’s early in its development and you will see a lot of people who all help build this community up by making apps that work for the users , like you and me .
Also PV (pura vida) and find the #plebchain after you get your lightning address setup ,, you will love the #zapathon! 🙌🙌
I’ll check it out. I’m not techy at all. I do remember BBS stuff from the past and vi shells, PINE email so this reminded me of that when I was reading on it.
Something I read recently that made a lot of sense was that #nostr isn’t a social network , though many clients that you use to access the protocol are social in nature , it’s loaded with all kinds of applications built on it that provide value in your everyday life . Plus I dig all the good mornings and the coffee chains that seem to start every hour someone in another part of the world wakes up. My experience has pretty much been meeting positive people , with the exceptions of annoying bots that show up every once an a while , but at least they are easy to pick out and mute. I have watched how technology has been used against us for too long so it’s a breath of fresh air to see technology created to work for us for a change indeed.
