Dmitry Medvedev, former Russian president and current deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, threatened Moldova with invasion, warning the country "not to forget history to avoid repeating what is happening in Ukraine." The Moldovan region of Transnistria has been under Russian occupation since 1992.
