Glad we are still in contact 🙏♾️💜😎

All good Mac… back on now. Good chance to test out my new genset. 👍🏻🤙🏻

What’s a genset 🤣🤣😅

A little, portable, power generator Mac. 🙂🤙🏻

Prepared!! 🙏😎

It’s a little beauty. :)

Purple haze of energy!!!!

It feels good to test out your resiliency plans hey? I always find a way to improve on them.

Were you able to power your whole house with it?

Do you have enough fuel to last you a week or 2?

It’s good to have. I only got it this year, for well, who knows! 😏

It’ll give me around 15A. Will run fridge, freezer and small ac if required.

I don’t want to muck around with change over switches but know enough to use it safely and get the most out of it.

Fuel I’m torn over… I don’t want to store large amounts (44 gal drums etc) but always have the car fuel as back up. There’d always be something else I’d need but I’m well on the way. :)

Nice - that's about 3.6KW - enough to power a small house. The first one I had was 1.5KW but it wasn't enough to run the washing machine spin cycle. Mrs Brisket wasn't happy when we lost power for a week. 😆 It also struggled when the toaster & water pump were both running.

The new one is 6KW & has an electric start. It was a game changer but probably a bit overkill on the output.

I store my fuel in an old corrugated iron tank with a concrete liner. It should be enough to protect it from fires or contain it if it goes up. I use the fuel for my mower & 2 stroke motors.

The switch on my fuse box allows me to cutover from mains quickly. The wiring seems pretty simple - I reckon any sparky could do it.

Heat producing electronics use shockingly high amounts of power.

lol… I didn’t think of his miner! 😂

Looks like you’re all over it (why am I not surprised :)

6.5kw is more than enough.
