I think having looked about a lil bit I think I settled on either the minilogie or the microfreak, shame the microbrute is monophonic cos they go for quite cheap. Not sure what tipped me slightly more towards minilogue. Maybe it was something about the microfreak build quality not being amazing and it possibly being a bit buggy. And I quite like the idea of all functions assigned to a knob, rather than menu diving. But there wasn't much in it, microfreak looks like great fun

Ideally want to play around with stuff daw-less. I might just be saying that atm cos my laptop is a bit dogshit and frustrating lol

Bitwig is great.
