Cmon for real, no darkness?
Discussion
Yep! No darkness. I once took a picture of the sky at 2am and 2pm, and the blue color was exactly the same! The sun dips at 1am, so the picture wasn't of the darkest time, but there is barely any difference because of the constant low angle of the sun.
In winter the sun is up for 3 hours, with a sunrise and sunset of about 1.5 hours on each side. So it's pitch black when people go to and from work.
I brought my husband there when we first got married, so he got to see it from almost the darkest to the lightest.
They can't see stars between mid May and mid August! And at that point it's only for a short while.
I grew up in the North of Sweden, about 3 hours drive south of the polar circle.
