Yesterday at work at the shift change, we four stood outside in a circle and talked.

A colleague said that another colleague wanted to do something with crypto and he told him to ask me, I would also know about it. Then someone said: 'Oh you know about crypto too? What's the name of the one? Eth... Ete...'.

Me: 'Ethereum!'.

He: 'Yes, if I bought Crypto, I would buy Ethereum. It's the best!'

Me: 'I wouldn't!'. brief silence.

He: 'There's also this dog..'.

Me: 'Doge!'.

He: '..and bitcoin... and other random words he overheard somewhere in the media..'.

The other two threw a few buzzwords here and there into the conversation to have a say.

I didn't say anything more about it, because you could tell that opinions were already stuck by how they were talking about it. Media did an excellent job of brainwashing them.

How do you orange pill these people?

You take the time to explain to them why the other choices are not exactly good choices. I know you and I and the bunch we run with have been trying to do this forever and it does get tiresome, but IMHO we still need to make the effort.

I wouldn't try to orange pill these people. May the time come by when they are ready to see it. 😁🤙

Just tell them "Bitcoin only" like everyone else does. 🤣

Or, take the time to educate them properly then get them to install a LN wallet, zap some sats and then post a picture with their wallet here for the purplechain 💊action.

Then you tell them "Bitcoin only". 🤣

We still have a lot of work to do #plebchain

Bitcoin is peer-to-peer electronic cash.

(Hand this person a card from https://tipcards.io ).

Explain how thousands of computers enforce the rules. The most important one is:

₿ < 21,000,000

Doge is a joke. The supply rules were changed. It is unlimited

Ethereum is a private CBDC.

Stablecoins can be useful, but have counterparty risk and are unlimited.

Every other CrYpTo is an unregistered security used for pump and dumps or running a Ponzi scheme.

I find that people with decided opinions based off superficial knowledge only become receptive if you ask them several rounds of “okay, why?” “what makes you think that?” etc. they soon realize they don’t really know and only then start to listen. if they believe they know on a topic you know you know more about and start engaging them, they will just argue. let them argue themselves first
