Indeed. Looking back on my schooling my sixth grade teacher definitely changed my life.

She saw I was rather bored in school. She created a special folder for me. Inside it had a listing of books she suggest I read outside the curriculum. Extra worksheets above my level, etc. She also gave me side tasks such as hanging bulletin boards etc instead of having to sit quietly after finishing my work.

Mrs. Walker taught me so many lessons in only one year. The biggest was breaking my habit of saying: “I gots” to “I have.” 🤣 Loved her & was grateful to be able to come back & thank her as an adult.
