Second term presidents are the ones who do the majority of the pardons. They have nothing to lose.

Why is Trump a second term president if he is elected 2024? It has to be consecutive terms to be second term. Or do I fail to comprehend?
22nd Amendment:
No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.
Agreed. I would guess those pardons tend to be for crony, quid-pro-quo reasons. Freeing Ross grants no such back-scratching benefits (AFAIK).
Iāll believe it when I see it. I donāt expect Trump to do anything that doesnāt materially benefit him, and I donāt see how a Ross pardon does that.
Trumps a narcissist. Heāll pardon Ross just for the congratulations heāll receive.

He is acting in his best interest. Like each and every one of us. Politicians are just that with bigger agendas. Never rally behind or against politicians. It is a waste of time. It is a TV show.
