That’s not including the taxes you’re paying on purchases with already taxed dollars, and your payroll deductions for social security and other benefits you’ll never see. It’s more in the order of 50%

And the hidden tax of the real inflation rate which has been running 12-16% annually where I live for the past 3 years. The former middle class are going to start missing meals soon. Then people might wake up.
