OK I am going to try one last thing at this point which is to re-flash. I have asked several times but no one has actually answered, so I would appreciate if I could just find out… do I delete everything on the sd before I reinstall everything?

Don't use Pis. Get a refurbished PC from Amazon. Much cheaper and more powerful . I wasted years on Pi's......waste of time and slow for any real thing
I hear you, but I also already have all of this stuff and it’s all been working fine for me until I moved. If I end up starting over, that’s probably the route I will take but I’m trying to work with what I already bought and have been using at this point. 🙏
Reflashing will overwrite everything. https://www.balena.io/etcher
Ok. This is what I used last time. Trying that then I quit! UNTIL NEXT TIME I’M NOT A QUITTER I’M JUST TIRED lol 🫶
Ok. Hit my wall. I reflashed, here’s my startup after plugging in. I was optimistic, but it has stayed on red ever since… So I have spent several hours to achieve pretty much nothing. Although, does this confirm that it’s probably the SD? Because if so, I’ll stop somewhere tomorrow and get another one. FML https://alanajoy.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/IMG_2171.mov
that looks like it booted up fine. do you have lights on the back of your pi where you plug the ethernet cable in? you should have a solid orange light and a flashing green light.
I’m outside hitting a joint rn because metal health lol will report back in 5 ps you are my hero regardless
Only a blue light 🤡🤪
OK, no, ignore that I was not looking at the right thing, and I am now lit, on the other side there is a green light and an orange light
is the green one flashing? if it is, that means there's network activity.
im going to go to bed...sorry. super tired.
i can help tomorrow. we can do phone or nests or whatever if you still need help.
I’ll reach out tomorrow, get your rest you put in overtime and it matters thank you 🙏 https://alanajoy.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/IMG_2172.mov
looks like your getting network traffic.
was it reachable after a few minutes?
Get a Nest you two 😂 https://nostrnests.com/
I’ve been dealing with my node for a minute. It doesn’t boot. Plugging it into the hdmi to see the boot process I get “Cannot open access to console, the root account is locked.” I reflashed the damn software multiple times and with different OS to see and it’s the same.
DO NOT use the SD Card for any sort of heavy read/write data like a database. SD Cards are not meant for such use, they corrupt easily and flashing / rewriting the data does not work. If you're going to use a Pi for a relay then get a USB drive with a few terabytes of space and write to that. It will be speed bound since the Raspberry Pi shares the Ethernet Port bandwidth with the USB ports but a small relay should probably be fine if you manage the amount of users.
I don't know what model of Rasp Pi you have, but you should attempt to get the operating system off the SD Card as well.
I can't comment on connectivity issues, I don't know anything about Nostr's stack to give advice beyond check that your ports are forwarded correctly at the router level and if you're even able to connect to your house, many ISP block inbound connections on all ports.
