My “messages” show 3. But when I click on messages, it just takes me to this blank screen..

They're probably in "OTHER"
The default spam filter on primal is to put messages from people you don't follow in that bucket.
If that doesnt help, lmk
Thanks Ben! There was 1 message there. There’s still a “2” next to the messages tab / section.. I’m not sure where those are

Some messages don't come thru on primal and can be viewed on another client. If you're curious check out amethyst (android) or Damus (iPhone)
Try closing the app and re-opening... sometimes it just needs a refresh.
Also have a backup client available to verify and test.
