The raw juice can be added to honey(never tried it, so not sure how much it plant it takes to get a usable amount of juice). Another method- equal parts nettle, comfrey (FDA does not recommend internal consumption), mullein and a pinch of lobelia. Steep 1 ounce of combined herb in pint of boiled water. Drink a small cut of tea 3 to 4 times per day. Long term use will provide results.

Lobelia tincture has been successfully for treating asthma. Be aware that lobelia is an emetic, meaning it will cause vomitting. The vomitting will expel phlegm and mucus from the lungs. A tea like elderberry, catnip, mint, etc. drank before taking the lobelia will calm stomach muscles and relieve discomfort from the vomitting.

A concoction that my grandfather swore worked for asthma- maple syrup, spruce gum, and whiskey. Take a shot every morning. I think it’s just an excuse to drink whiskey!
