A Nostr Client that encrypts all notes and the notes can only be decrypted using said client

All relays and other clients would see encrypted gibberish

Relays and clients would just take the keys from this client and it would be back to normal

so there's no way to use a simplex like client using relays on nostr?

Maybe with its own event kind but that might not get wide support from regular relays

They came up with a solution for that. You can pay a relay a few sats to deliver your message. They equate it to buying a postage stamp. It's a nice way to incentives relays to adopt and support the service. I like the idea of paying a decentralized relay network a few sats per message rather than relying on a server farm being funded by donations or venture capital.

Sometime ago I did lowent.xyz which is more or less what you described 🤝

as #nostr gets more permanent and popular, we will need this type of client functionality
