Okay so I have a friend who is missing notes across multiple clients. Does anyone have any ideas ?

The most likely answer is that he wrote the notes to relays those clients aren't set up to read from in his settings.

He'll need to compare his relay list in the clients where they show up to his relay list in the clients where they are missing.

Also, I just happened upon this question in my web-of-trust feed. Probably could have benefited from having the #asknostr hashtag added.

100% agree. Relays are a fundamental part of how Nostr works, but most folks really don't care to have to fiddle with them for things to just behave as they expect them to.

Think about it this way. The above issue is like saving a file to your Downloads folder, then going to look for it in your Documents folder, and wondering why it isn't there.

That's a good way to think about it
