I had the same issue with Kraken when I was living in France. It was impossible to transfer funds in the beginning, but they got that sorted out after.
The banks have to be FATCA (it's an anti laundering, anti terrorism regulation) compliant, that why they do this sort of checks.
yes, but in my opinion it is just an excuse so ppl won't move money into crypto in general
