oh well yeah I guess surfing is 'better' as in if you bail you hit water. But it's similar tbh.

If you have a board, just go out and give it a shot. Paddling out will probably be the bigger test of will.

Start belly on then work on getting up to your feet (while riding a smallish wave) and then once you're comfy with that then you good.
