At least an idea worth investigating. AFAIK in the USA and some other countries jewelry and personal effects worn on your body have greater legal protection and are harder (though never impossible) to confiscate.

I’ve often wondered how people take gold across borders in jewelry form without a problem but bars stuffed up their asses get confiscated.

Yeah the entering it on a smartphone app is super worrisome. I’d definitely do for a password manager backup but not a seed phrase.

Seed phrase doesn’t necessarily have to lead to the master seed. You can password protect the seed phrase, but obviously you’d use less entropy for the password than the seed phrase itself so you lessen security guarantee by using an internet connected device to read the seed.
