#grownostr #garden I’ve been thinking that getting in my garden area is a hassle. I have a makeshift netting that falls from the top. I’m using oldcastle bricks at the base. Why not just put wood in the notch and then have a door with a latch… I’m a slow learner!

Being in Cypress, is it to late to plant vegetable garden? Or grow plants for my chickens.
I’d say plant anything. The main idea would be to protect from sun. I *try* to plant things every week. Peas, melons, tomatoes/peppers/carrots.
I just planted some sorghum, never used that before so I’ll see how that does. It is touted as very hardy, drought resistant, so I’ll assume it will grow fine in the summer.
