Wasn't interested in Palworld, but after seeing Nintendo and Gamefreak going after modders and devs, I just had to buy it.
The original Pokemon was magical, I was in secondary school, we would sneak in our gameboys and hook them up in the classrooms to trade Pokemons and show each other our teams. We would dream of being the very best, like no one ever was.
But that was it. After Red Blue Green and a bit of Yellow, the franchise got stuck, it only added complexity but never innovate, always playing it safe at every turn and we'd forgive it. I would still finish all the entries after that, The first one I didn't finish was Sword and Shield. I give up, I feel like my childhood has been held hostage and I have to keep paying the ransom.
Stepping in to Palworld, while it did NOT feel like Pokemon, (reminds me more of minecraft / fortnight) but it does show a glimpse of what could have been.
If you are nbot goiing to do it, someone else will, and that's the way it should be.
