Props for the attempts, but the uptake seems low to zero. I tried Keet for a while. Seemed promising, but to my knowledge, they haven’t followed through on their promise to open source it.

Interesting. The holepunch repos ostensibly host the code for all of the services which power an app like Keet but there’s quite a bit going on.

The entire stack being built on their own JavaScript runtime might also be targeting the wrong developer profile for more low level distributed networking/comms.

Good catch.

If I had to guess, and it is most definitely a guess, it's simply a matter of competing priorities. It's hard to get leadership's attention with an interesting little p2p project when you're busy earning billions elsewhere.
