A group of homeless folks around my area can now communicate over short distances without paying for mobile internet. Similar apps like Briar where quite useful during a power outage while I was on holiday. (Though it was pure luck that I still hat that apk still flying around to send it to other people.)
Everything that increases independency of centralized services is a net good for me, no matter who built it. And people like Jack don't need to save on their data plan, man.
